We were formed in 1997 by a group of canoe and kayakers who used to meet at Burnley Canoe Centre.  When the local council stopped the funding, we set up our own club Pendle Paddlers.

During the summer months we hold weekly club nights on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Foulridge Wharf where we have a club boathouse. With over 100 members in the club we cater for a mix of people with different kayaking and canoeing skills.  From age 8 onwards, we have a range of kayaks to suit all sizes from small youth to adult and we have a number of canoes to broaden your skills.  We run both Kayak and Canoe sessions so please check the events calendar for details.

Our team of qualified coaches teach not only our regular members, but also local youth groups and community organisations for which we run fun and training sessions.

Directions

Foulridge is just outside Colne on the A56.  When you get to the village follow the brown tourist signs down to the Wharf.  Go past the Cafe Cargo bistro to the far end of the carpark.  Our clubhouse is the hut behind the metal gate.  If you are using a satnav our the postcode BB8 7PP may help you find us.
